Disruption

Middle school at last! It doesn't start to well for Sana, who accidentally cut her bangs too short in the midst of all the hype. Stating that she "feels weird" with her new hairdo, she rushes to the school washroom and encounters Matsui Fuuka, a girl who seems to be in the same predicament as her. Unlike most, Fuuka doesn't make a big deal out of the fact that she's sharing a washroom with a celebrity, and the two instantly hit it off.

Sana drags her new female friend everywhere, introducing Fuuka to her old elementary friends, and that, of course, includes Hayama. Upon learning his name, Fuuka comes up to him and slaps him, claiming that he had stolen her first kiss and therefore "screwed up" her life. It turns out that first kiss had happened in Kindergarten, before Hayama had met Sana. The boys dared Hayama to kiss a girl in exchange for 60 yen (which he later used to buy three dinosaur erasers from a vending machine xD), and he chooses Fuuka. Although she didn't think much of it back then, years later, after her move to Osaka, rumors that Fuuka already had her first kiss came to trouble her relationship with Takaishi, her long-time love interest back then.

Sana, who was standing by in the midst of all the drama, gets mixed feelings about Hayama's first kiss. "Kiss monster! Kiss monster!" she taunts him. Hayama, more-than-slightly annoyed by the mix-up, especially since it was her who misunderstood, quietly tells her she's got the wrong idea. But obviously, Sana doesn't listen, leaving an aggravated Hayama walking back to homeroom.

And that's not the only thing changing. The attitudes of (girl) students towards the previously nicknamed "Boss Monkey" flipped a full 180 degrees; proven when a "fan" of his asks to take a picture with Hayama. Of course, he outright rejects the request, leaving the poor girl to cry. Fuuka demands that he apologize, grabbing him by the wrist. Hayama immediately gets a déjavu of his previous confrontations with Sana.
