Lemon Kiss

Although he had developed a liking for Sana, Hayama knew that she was already in "love" with her 20-year-old manager and "pimp", Sagami Rei (or so she said). This obviously pisses poor Aki off, and as Rei drove to the school to pick Sana up as he did every day, he and Tsuyoshi decide to confront him about his relationship with Sana. Rei confirms that they are boyfriend and girlfriend, and Hayama asks him if he's serious. "Because if you are, you must really be some kind of pervert."

Rei tells them that it was because of Sana that he got back on his feet. Hayama, who is very adult-like for a child, fastly realizes that Rei is only in that kind of relationship with Sana because he feels the need to pay her back.

As Rei insists that he's got it all wrong, Hayama gives him a very icy glare (oh, if looks could kill...). "Don't lie to us anymore.", he tells Rei coldly, and he and Tsuyoshi departs the scene.

The following day, the class went on a trip to a Government Office, which, as expected, is a very high place. Hayama, who has acrophobia (fear of heights), gets pretty sick as they ascend the forty-five floors of the building. In an effort to calm him down, Sana buys Hayama a glass of nice cold juice, but accidentally spills it all over him in the process. As she apologizes repeatedly and wipes him off with a towel, Hayama unexpectedly gives Sana her first kiss.

Sana, of course, completely freaks out and screams so loud it reaches the heavens *laughs*. She yells at Hayama, asking him why he would do this, and he calmly tells her that it's her own fault for getting her face to close to his. "You shouldn't be getting to upset over this," he said. "After all, you've already got a 20-year-old boyfriend, right?" Sana stutters that Rei hasn't given her a kiss (on the lips) yet, and Hayama smirks and tells her to get real about her relationship with her so-called boyfriend.

Of course, after spotting Kurumi Asako, Rei's ex-girlfriend, driving away from her home, she soon finds out that Rei only humored her about being in a serious relationship together, and a very embarassed Sana flees from home. Coincidentally, Hayama spots her running down the street. Grabbing her hand, he asks her what's wrong. The two take the time to sit down and talk about her problems, and he gives her a few words of comfort. Curious as to why he was being so nice to her, and eager to learn more about this new side of Hayama Akito she's never seen before, Sana quietly asks him why he had kissed her so suddenly. He looks at her and replies, "I don't hate you." In the end, Sana thanks him and comes out smiling.
